I would like to start a thread to get a comprehensive list of the legislation that has been executed at the country level in response to meeting the EU Directive on Data Privacy (9t/46/EC). I have found a list that gives the implementation of the directive in member states, although this is not in english (or a language that I understand) in all cases. Germany looks really complicated, and I don't understand why there are so many entries for different areas?
I will, once we have a complete list create a chart with mappings and any interesting deviations that may come up. What would be useful, is if any of you have a legal background or experience in law could contribute with your observations on how it is working in practice.
There are more that will be posted later. If anyone has a link to some of the local DP laws that are missing so far could you post them here. Also a call for volunteers to help in shifting through these and understanding better the status, particularly those with some legal background. The
